Krishnapatnam Port, the world-class port on the Indian horizon, wins for the second time in a row, the prestigious 2nd South East CEO Conclave & Awards 2010 in the Non-Major Port category.

The award ceremony was organized by The Exim Shipping Times held in Chennai recently.

Krishnapatnam Port was felicitated in this category based on the parameters of Operational Performance, Infrastructure Development & Customer Satisfaction.

More land for Vikrama Simhapuri University at Kakuturu

Collector K.Ramgopal on Tuesday held discussions with Sarvepalli MLA Adala Prabhakar Reddy and Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) officials in handing over land to the university at Kakuturu village in Venkatachalam mandal in the district.

In addition to the 62.84 acres land allotted for VSU in the village, the district administration will allot 30 more acres (abutting the old site) at Kakuturu, said the Collector. He told the VSU Vice-Chancellor C.R. Visweswara Rao and Registrar V. Narayana Reddy that the proposed site will be handed over to the university soon.

PVR to invest Rs300 cr for launching Entertainment city models

PVR will be introducing 50-60 screens by the end of the year and a majority of these will be in south Indian cities. Some of these include tier two and tier three cities like Nellore, Warangal, Trichur, Panjagutta and Mysore. Some of the other places where PVR will map its presence include Dhanbad, Bhilai, Nanded and Jabalpur, to name a few.
