Amarajeevi Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore District

Alleged negligence of irrigation officials and the contracting firm which undertook the barrage-cum-bridge work at the anicut on Pennar River near Nellore, led to breaches about 115 m in length on Sunday. These breaches occurred at three places in the 151-year-old anicut built in 1859 by the British.
