Amarajeevi Potti Sri Ramulu Nellore District

The Collector received the guard of honour from the police and listed out the achievements of various government departments in the last one year in the district. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramgopal said about 20 mega projects and five Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are coming up in the district which will provide employment to about 1.50 lakh people.

Eight power plants are under construction in Krishnapatnam and Muthukur villages near Nellore city and they would be completed in the next three years. Once the power generation units are set up about 12,000 MW of power would be produced in the district.

The Krishnapatnam Port Company Limited and other industries which started operations are growing fast and very soon Nellore district will become an industrial centre with a host of projects, he said.
